Whether you’re gearing up for your first splash at the Aqualough or flying high on our aerial courses, we’ve answered the most common questions to help you plan your visit.
How far in advance should I arrive before my activity?
Aqualough: Please arrive 40 minutes before your session.
All other activities: Please arrive 15 minutes before your session.
How deep is the lake?
The deepest part of the lake is 3.5 meters. Life vests are provided but we would recommend you are comfortable in water to take part.
What safety measures are in place?
Safety is our top priority across all of our activities. All equipment is certified, staff are professionally trained, and every activity is supervised with strict safety protocols. From helmets to harnesses, we ensure every adventure is safe& secure.
Our lifeguards on the Aqualough are Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) trained and are always on hand to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Will activities go ahead in bad weather?
Yes. Activities will continue in most weather conditions. However, if there is an official orange or red weather warning from Met Éireann the park will not operate. A risk assessment is carried out each morning and you will be notified if your activity has been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions and you will have the option to reschedule or get a refund.
Lost and found
Lockers for valuables only are available at the Aqualough, please note that all personal items should be left with a non participating member of the group, all items are left at the owner’s risk, as the Management cannot take responsibility for any missing or damaged property.
Items can sometimes be mislaid during busy periods. As our staff do not have the time to handle individual cases, all lost belongings are placed in our Lost and Found container. You’re welcome to go to reception where they can direct you to the lost & found to search for your lost item.
Can I wear my own wetsuit?
Yes, you’re welcome to wear your own wetsuit.
Do I need to be able to swim to take part in Aqualough?
Yes. All participants must be comfortable in the water and able to swim at least 50 metres with the assistance of a PFD Buoyancy Aid (Life Vest). This will be provided and must be worn at all times, no exceptions.
Do I need to book in advance, or can I just turn up?
We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time slot, as walk-ins may not always be available.
What should I wear or bring with me?
Our park is fully outdoors and exposed to the elements. Please come prepared:
• Sunny days: Sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses
• Rainy days: Waterproof jacket, rain gear, change of clothes
• Aqualough: A towel and change of clothes
• Closed-toe shoes for activities (no flip-flops or sandals)

Is the park wheelchair friendly?
Due to the park’s hilly terrain and gravel paths, wheelchair access is currently limited, but we’re exploring ways to improve accessibility in the future.
Cancellation Policy
- All general bookings are final and must be paid in full at time of booking. Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer refunds for cancellations.
- For group bookings a 25% non-refundable deposit is required with final payment and confirmation of numbers due 7 days in advance of the event.
Do adults need to accompany kids taking part in activities?
Yes, under 18’s require a supervising adult on site for the duration of their visit.
Is there free parking?
Yes, there is ample free parking at Flynn Park
